Interactive Design

Over the last 13 years I’ve had the chance to design experiences for multiple platforms from launch websites for TV series to iOS game apps, I love designing digital experiences that engage users in fun and creative ways.

Finding Dory

Role: Creative Director/Animator

The Disney Games team wanted to create a mobile device game that mirrored the plot of the movie. Our solution was to create an adventure game where the player gets to help dory find her way home and learn how to choose specific items via a game mechanic that queues them to make a specific selection. The result is a game that teaches the player along the way while presenting quirky scenes and challenging levels to navigate.

O.K K.O

Role: Art Director/Designer

The goal for this Cartoon Network responsive microsite was to create an interactive experience for O.K K.O to coincide with the launch of the series on the TV network. The Lion Guard

Role: Creative Director/Designer

Disney Junior tasked us with creating a mobile adventure game for The Lion Guard animated series. Our solution was to create an immersive platformer experience where the player plays as “Kion” and learns about quick decision making and teamwork thanks for a game mechanic introduced along the way as the game progresses

Nintendo - Style Savvy

Role: Designer

Nintendo wanted a site to help boost the launch of Style Savvy, a game where players get to develop their character in the fashion world. The concept for the site was to add elements of fashion to help bring around textile and fashion design aesthetic to this digital responsive experience highlighting specific play modes, tricks and tips and a game launch and purchasing customer funnel.

Blues Clues & You!

Role: Creative Director, Designer

For the launch of the newest blues clues series, Nick Jr wanted to create a curriculum based game for a pre-school audience. There was two core concepts in play for this game. The first is to teach player about times of the day and their correlation to specific everyday activities like brushing your teeth or eating breakfast. The second is to match items from a tray into specific spots on the scene based on the context of the of the activity Blue is about to try to accomplish. If the player succeeds on matching the right items needed, they get to see a payoff animation play as a reward. There is 12 activities total in this game.

Butterbean is a Nick Jr series about a a young fairy who loves to problem solve and come up with creative recipes for delicious treats. So, naturally a cupcake decorating game was the best way to go. The challenge from the client was for the game to feel like it is is open play while still having some rules for the player to follow and include a curriculum element into the experience. The solution was to introduce color coding as the learning element. The player is give a color key for their cupcake the player then is given multiple options on decorative elements with a different array of colors. There’s no losing in this game, however there’s extra points if the player matches the color key.
